Note : “to” comes before the second person !

3. After adjectives “to”:

He is very eager to play.

I am glad to say that he is very kind man.

I am sorry to announce the cancellation of the match.

1. In English, we have learnt the use of – ing in its simplest form in the present tense. Let’s share a few uses:

After certain verbs: (this also means that ” to ” cannot come after these verbs. Again, I can hear you saying that this is another subject to be confused. In time we will learn which verb is followed by “to” or “ing”).

I enjoy swimming in the pool.

He loves travelling.

like, hate, love, enjoy

2. As a noun at the beginning of a sentence.

Eating after 9 is not good for your health.

Travelling abroad costs a lot of money.
