A Different Look at Adverbs in English

We have previously studied what adverbs are and when they are used in English. Adverbs must always affect the verb. In other words, they answer the question “how.”

Fact 1:

The answer to the question “How do you run?” is “fast” or “slowly.”

I run fast.
I run slowly.
I speak quickly.

Fact 2:

The answer to the question of how often (how often) is an adverb.

How often do you sleep after 12:00?
-I usually sleep after 12.
